It's a little chilly here this morning (49 degrees) so I tested out the furnace in the rig. It's 36' so has only two zones. I fired up the Aqua Hot diesel mode and waited 20 minutes. I selected zone 1 and furnace. I heard the fan kick on felt the toasty air from the registers. I then selected zone 2 but could not select furnace as that mode doesn't exist, just off, fan and cool. Is this the standard setup?
I turned on the thermostat in the bathroom and those registers blew hot air.
With a flashlight I can see the heat exchanger behind the bedroom grate but there's nothing going on in there. Is there a switch or something I am missing? Thanks.

Jor,
You should have a zone 2 on the Controller which should allow you to select furnace. I assume when you select zone 2 you have the other choices of cool and heat pump, just not furnace? If you cannot get into zone 2 then it's most likely the 4 button thermostat. The bathroom is controlled by it's own thermostat and that seems to be working for you. You might PM Rudy or Rodger as they are the experts.
Good Luck,
One other possibiliy may be the dip switch setting on the power module board. Has any work been done on the zone 2 A/C?
Brad, I do have zone 2 but it doesn't show the furnace option. Flite, I just had the A/Cs looked at but they didn't get into the controls. I think I'll do as suggested and contact the experts. Thanks.

Bob,
It looks like you were onto it with the A/C comment. I got hold of our local Aqua Hot guy in Tucson and that is what he believes the case to be. Anyhow, he'll be out tomorrow to look at it. This will be a good opportunity to have the AH serviced anyhow. Thanks again.

Had the same problem yesterday with the thermostat. By playing with the mode selector I was able to get furnace on 2. Not the first time it happened to me.
