Title: Tow Daddy - clever & easy tow car tail-light hookup
Post by: Barry & Cindy on November 01, 2011, 05:38:50 pm
We are thinking about a new Jeep tow car and wondered if there are better ways to wire Jeep tail-lights.  We used to wire 6 diodes and others choose to drill new holes in tail-light assemblies.

Probably no way to drill holes in LED tail-light housings and it would be great to not have to make the 18 splices for diodes.

Found Tow Daddy ( Tow Daddy - The Best Designed RV Products on the Planet (http://towdaddy.net) ) has a couple of great new products to help wiring a car for towing.  We now only pull apart the OEM tail-light connector and insert Jeep specific Plug-n-Tow.  They also have AutoFuse that automatically opens a towcar's fuse circuit when it is being towed.  Clever products.

Barry, Let me know how you like it as I will soon set up the 2011 Honda CR-V for a toad, I do like the AIr Force 1 that was installed on the Ford p/u, and now SMI wants about 575.00 for the partial kit to do the Honda since half of the system is already on the Coach, that will give us a choice for toad.
Dont Laugh, but I miss whataburger for breakfast on a bun ;D

Don't count on Barry & Cindy learning much more about Tow Daddy for a while because our "thinking" takes time.

Dave, below is how to find your Breakfast of Champions. . .
