Friend bought '91 Grand Villa & is trying to get it from Ohio back to Georgia. He thinks he blew fuse or breaker hooking up toad (possibly miss-wired) ... where does he find fuse/breakers for tail lights????
Please help if possible ... he's in a bind.
Thanks,
Steve
Steve, IF, thats IF his is exactly like mine, you will find the fuse under the dash top. So, open the dash top, stick something in so it won't close on you and look at the big block of fuses at the back, just to the left of the two small rocker switches for the transmission and engine codes. OK, found it? The brake light fuse is all the way on the right (last) row and the last of the four towards the driver. The turn signal is in the same row only the third one back. The diagram showing the fuse positions is pasted up on the cover above the fuses so you can read it with the top open. Any problems, give me a call this afternoon at 530.477.7465 and I will talk him through it. Fuses are standard type found at Autozone, NAPA, etc.
Just grab hold of the dash from the rear of coach side and lift. It is tension snapped closed and you probably have to jerk it up. It is hinged across the front. Fuses should all be in front of driver and breakers across the front.
When fuse is located and it continues to blow take the bulbs out of the holders and see that the filaments are not broken and touching. Swap bulbs if they don't look right or use a VOM to check for continuity.
Good Luck
