Title: Door Gasket
Post by: Alfred on November 10, 2011, 03:56:17 pm
Any idea where to buy the glue on door gasket or weatherstrip, with a flap, used on 1986 to around 1995 units?
Tks.

Alfred,

If anybody knows for sure, it would be James Stallings at Xtreme.

He resealed my 1995 door to stop water leaking in at the bottom.  But we did not replace the big weather strip, just added D-seal at the right spots.

James is such a resource.  You should meet him if you have not yet, 936.560.5888.

Alfred,
When we had our 92 we were able to get some from McMaster-Carr. Look at this link under foam rubber bulb seals, I think we were able to use #11.

3M  ECL300, stick rubber to metal. Used on aircraft de-icer boots and any other rubber to metal application, seals real good and lasts a long time

If you are talking about the front screen door, try PTL Engineering (810.664.2310) in Lapeer, Mi. They are the manufacture of our '99 door.
We just ordered the replacement screen door latch side (part # 007-004 8 ft  $24.45) and the door seal (part # 07-049 Black $30.72). Should be delivered today and we'll install them tomorrow, if it doesn't snow.

We are just finishing up the 32" Sony LCD installation (pictures to follow), replacing the gen fuel lines, and getting ready to start the installation of the Splendide washer-dryer.
