Parked alongside a nice looking new River Forest Georgetown class A which is higher that my U320 and a couple of feet shorter at my storage facility. Noticed it has a V10 gasoline engine. Question: How does one decide whether to tow the car or the auxiliary fuel trailer for trips? How long will that engine last hauling 26,000 lbs and all that frontal area around I wonder. The owners say they get less than 6mpg! Makes my 9mpg sound much better.

I would expect that the price of that V-10 gas unit is what sold it in the first place . Some people at first don't know the difference diesel / gas except ----price --- and price sells . As far as lasting , it used to be that 100,000 miles was about all you could get , now maybe a bit more . That V-10 has to work really hard to move that box .
Some people have to buy new and that Georgetown was in their budget. Financing EZ in this price range also. Too bad. 6 mpg seems about right for the Ford V-10. It's probably the best of the gas engines and will preform OK as everything in the coach is lightweight. Rigs like this usually loose a lot of their luster pretty fast so doubt if many see the 100K mark.
