As a newbie at this site and presently looking to buy a Foretravel U295 I am amazed that Camping World is still in business after all the negative comments about their
incompetent personal and just bad service and business practices.
After reading all the negative posts here and on other web sites I would be hard pressed to even drive into one of their establishments.
I was looking at a Foretravel located somewhere in GA and was about to hire a surveyor to inspect the unit that had been stored for some time before I came down from CT to look at it.
He recommended that it be towed to a Campers World nearby to make it ready for a trip to CT if I bought it.
I brought up the negative issues that were out there and he finally relented and agreed that they don't have top best of reputation.
I did not hire him based on the fact that he was trying to steer me to CW.
Everyone has an opinion about Camping World, for me, I see them as a desirable outlet for the new folks wanting to get into the RV world, they would be easy pickings for CW, but for folks who have some experience, CW is viewed with caution. If you know what you want, go in and get it.
I am cautious about all RV/truck/automobile repair places and try to get some information before I use one. CW has a bad reputation on other forums, not just this one. It pays to pay attention to what people say and I try to do that. I am nowhere near as dumb as I look. :P~~

Am in the middle of a problem with CW at the moment (see link below). Service manager has been most apologetic and we are working to fix the problem on Friday. I will post the result on here. It's the CW at Island Lake, IL.
