Help guys, got some strange symptoms here....My wife turned on the water pump last night...and it ran continuously, so I thought the tank was empty..Hooked up water and opened the fill valve and within 5 minutes water was spashing out in front of our right rear duals....turned on the pump again and very reduced flow from any faucet, and the pump runs continuously.......and to confuse things furthur, when I open the tank drain valve, nothing comes out..the hot and cold will drain, but nothing from the tank drain ...Any ideas.....
fixed it, cycled the fill valve, it must have been stuck..water pump and flow is normal now...still have to troubleshoot main tank water drain though....
Sounds like you have at least a 2 fold problem.
Check your drain piping for a dirt/mud dobber nest.
The pump running constantly and not building pressure could be from a failed internal "O" ring, bad diagram, or check valve. This depends on which manufacture and type pump you have.
Have you checked the fill valve to see if it is truly closed?

We must have been trying to post at the same time. I now see you have the problem fixed. You were faster at finding the problem than I was at typing.

Hi Dave,
In my coach if I leave the electric fill valve open, the water pump will run forever. Just a thought - maybe your switch is now on all the time. Can you hear the electric valve change/click when activating the switch?
thank you all, turned out to be a open fill valve, that when operated with the water connected, went full closed finally.....and the main tank drain must have been mud daubers, as i puched a tie wrap up and now it is draining.......
I have had several instances of blockages in the water tank drain. Finally inserted tapered rubber plugs in all the drains and no more blockages so far.
