Greetings everyone,
I'm somewhat puzzled - in my 91 U225, the rear furnace is appears to be located from the rearward area of the closet, extending to the bedroom cabinet below the drawers. I don't see any way to access it for inspection or cleaning. Has to be a way to get to it for repairs or replacement. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks kindly.
Steve
For inspection or cleaning, access it/clean it from the outside.
Thanks Brett. I was actually hoping you weren't going to say that. :)
I can get at the front unit without a fuss - lift up or remove the couch seat. Was hoping I could get into the area of the rear furnace as I am trying to route some 10/3 cables through that vicinity (other Romex cables going through there). Will have to try something else.
Thanks again. :)
Steve
Steve,
At least on our 1993 U240, the back closet floor comes up fairly easily after removing the carpeting if you just want to access that area to run wires. But really no access to service items on the furnace itself.
Thanks Brett.
There was an open space under the old fridge on the right wall; when I looked in there I saw the audio/video amplifiers mounted to the floor, and that's where the Romex for 120v power on the passenger side was routed. Going to try to going from that end; worst case, may have to pull the closet floor. Hope not.
Appreciate your help.
Steve
