Title: ?Splendide/closet door
Post by: pedalman on December 01, 2011, 11:21:22 am
When I purchased my 2000 U295 there was a Splendid already installed. The door is the original solid panel with mirror for that model and year. My question is should there be a vent of some type for air circulation installed in the existing door? We have had no problems and open the door a number of times during operation. I had not really wanted a W/D but have grown very fond of this option.

                                              Thanks,

You don't want excess humidity building up inside the closet area.  Then during the dry cycle things can heat up in the closet making it very cozy for "things" to grow.

Josh,

I am sure a vent would be nice.  Our 1995 U320 has the solid closet door for the Splendide.  We have used ours four or five times a week for years with no mold problems.  Most of the time the door is ajar during Splendide operation.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the help from everyone. I will probably install a vent of some type in the future. Just doesn't seem to be an issue now.
