Delorme has not come out with a 2012 version of Steet Atlas USA and there is talk that 2011 may be the last year of this popular mapping software title.
Delorme has their 50% off sale on paper state atlas books

Street Atlas was not that user friendly, especially for a Mac user plus Streets and Trips has gotten a lot better the last couple of years.
Benchmark lays waste to DeLorme in the states that they publish atlases.
Seemed like DeLorme had a bunch of DOS programmers on their staff that could not get out of that mode, at least to me. It worked well but only if you used it a lot as learning curve much higher than S&T.
Dedicated high end GPS units are available for less than $100 now so expect there is less demand for laptop software. Also a ton of iPhone/Droid apps out now.
P
I've been using Delorme for four years and it has taken us down some primrose paths but all-in-all am happy with it. Seems like the program has a BASIC or DOS problem of top-down programing but I'll keep it. I like the big computer screen sitting on the dash. With trifocals and cataracts I don't see too well so I don't need a GPS that works too well.
GOOD NEWS . .
Delorme's respose to my question: when will Street Atlas USA be published for 2012?:
"The anticipated release of Street Atlas USA 2012 PLUS is the 1st quarter of 2012."
Delorme Street Atlas USA Plus 2012 is now available for $39.95
