Title: Bose Lifestyle FM antenna
Post by: Bob McGee on January 09, 2012, 07:58:05 pm
Anyone know what the Bose Lifestyle in my '99 should connect to provide FM reception?

I found a 75 ohm cable leading from the FM connector on the back to a splitter that has no other cables connected to it. Small wonder I had poor FM reception. It looks like it could have led to the batwing antenna, but from what I have read, the amplified version of the batwing has a trap that eliminates 87% of the FM signal. The Bose literature makes note of a coax FM antenna (that I don't have) and of the option of a coax connection to an external antenna. Anyone know how Foretravel configured these in the late 90s?

Thanks,

Bob

I just removed my Bose. Found the am ant. To the right of the the control head over the right windshield. The FM is from a splitter on the TV ant. I am going to sell the Bose head and amp/sub if anyone is interested.

Phil,
I'm looking for a Bose remote if by some chance it doesn't go with your head unit. Thanks.
