Title: What is this pump for?
Post by: Roland Begin on January 11, 2012, 12:42:46 pm
I have a "new to me" 1993 Foretravel special edition unihome. There is an oil pump on the ledt side of the Cummins engine, which I mistakenly thought was a power steering pump but discovered that it was not. I ran the coach to move it without the drive belt on this pump and had power steering as well as oil pressure and air. The pump has a reservoir of 15/40 motor oil. Is this an auxiliary oil pump? I can provide a photo of the pump if need be to identify.

Likely the hydraulic pump for the fan motor(s).  Shouldn't be too hard to trace the hoses. One should go to the reservoir, the other to the fan motor. or controller and then to the fan motor.
