Title: Re: How to unlock Compartment Door
Post by: r.schwab on January 12, 2012, 05:36:13 pm
All you guys w/ your ingenuity ... I'm looking for an alien space ship to land next to my FT so I can rummage through it and find a way to unlock my completely enclosed compartment behind the drivers rear wheels.
Seriously, FT (Mark H.) says that the geniuses will figure out a way when we get there In March.

I had the same problem with the compartment door just under the drivers side window. I looked inside one of the other doors that had a single stricker pin mounted on the inside of the compartment. I was able to see that by prying the weather stripping out  of the way and working on my back ,I could get to the two 1/4" bolts that held the stricker pin to the door frame. I used a mini hacksaw to cut the bolts off and the door opened taking the stricker pin with it.When I remounted the pin with new bolts I had to bend the linkage rod of the door lock to adjust it . Gam
