The look of ceramic without the weight and won't crack.

Bruce,
A quick search of the board (search box in upper right, tell it to search this board) will bring up about a dozen or so threads. Here are some to get you started. The first are from a search on laminate, the last few for tile:

I did the caqrpet to ceramic tile, like the tile, two points, one, it isw cold onthe feet and glass and other kitchen have a hard landing when you drop things on the floor, but it is so easy to clean. I prefer it to carpet.

Had tile floors and now have carpet. Like the carpet because it's easy on the feet, and deadens the road noise a little I think. Gets dirty easy though. if I were to replace the carpet I'd go with laminate. Just my 2ยข :)
We replaced some of our carpet with a quality vinyl tile in the bath and kitchen. Won't crack, easy to clean, and not cold on bare feet. Installation was easy. You have to look closely to see that it is not real ceramic tile.
We also replaced the old carpet with Congoleum DuraCeramic tile. Liked it so much we did the upstairs of our home with it.
I did all tile and so did my brother. No problems with cracking of any kind. With 2 mutts, gotta have tile.
ceramic tiled ours also. 5+ years now, no cracks. it is cold in winter. if doing over, I would put down heat strips. Other than that, no regrets. As Brett mentioned, it IS heavy, but our 36' U295 had plenty of spare capacity.
How did everyone deal with the wire chase down the passenger side where the floof and wall meet?
Routed out a piece of walnut to accommodate the wire, varnished it and ran it along the floor/wall.
No big deal.
exactly-no big deal. Just use a 1x4" strip with a 1/4 moulding down the side and stain to match the wall. easy

Thanks thats what is was thinking, sounds like the plan.
Had ceramic tiles with electric radiant heat installed at Oregon Motor Coach in Eugene Oregon! Wife loves the warm floors! 2000 36ft U320
Besides Bob and Faith, has anyone else removed the factory installed tile?
At some point in the future (whenever we get the dinette redone), we would love to change out our kitchen/bath tile. We'll be doing the tile work ourselves so we'd like to know how the OEM tile removal has gone for others. Additional tips, tricks, etc. We'd be replacing with a different porcelain tile, not wood or laminate.
