The light works fine when you touch the plastic grab handle, However it also comes on when the sink light is turned on, unless the kitchen light is on first.
Now I find the light over the dinette also turns on the door light.
So searching the wiring diagrams, I can not locate this light other than to find it is powered by the same fuse as many other lights.
Now I need to know where / how this thing is wired, I am guessing there is a weak connection ground bond or what ever causing this.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks

Dave,
Not sure if your coach has the Intellitec Touchlite module or not
Door handle patio light touch switch-how to fix it (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=5269.msg21676#msg21676)
If it does, access is probably (at least it was in ours) inside the magazine rack next to the passenger seat. Lots of square drive screws to get to it.

Michelle, Many thanks, that explains it, now to dig into the side wall at magazine rack area, and guess either disconnect it like John Christman did, or try to ohm it out to find the culprit.
Many thanks as I had no idea where or how it worked, just another educational Foretravel experience, I love it.

Dave, I found that a poor ground of the porch light itself created a similar problem. Although the light was connected to the coach wiring, adding a new ground wire connected to the steel frame fixed the glitch. Some of the screws in the porch light housing should go into the steel coach frame and supply a chassis ground.
Our light would come on even with the dew at night so I removed the lower portion of the handle and there is a wire that the bottom mounting screw goes through and taped the end of the wire and now the light stays off unless I turn it on from the inside switch. Hope this helps
Good info indeed, For me, I am thinking if it becomes an unclear issue to solve correctly, I will rewire the Intellitec Touchlight Module, having the switch at steps provide the DC power to the normal side, when it stays on, simply turn switch off. Still thinking about it since I have not gotten into it as of yet, or the jury is still out. Will see.
Sounds like it's trade in time to me ,Mot needs a call 800 9556226
But he has it all set up just the way he likes it.
Had the same problem in my 02 U320. Improved the ground to the door handle and found no joy. Recently changed to LEDs in the kitchen sink light and walla no more problem. Food for thought Could in be a ballast issue.
Kent also noted a ground issue solution.
Whenever you have a weird combination of events causing an action you can be pretty sure it is a grounding issue. The classic is trailer or toad lights: a broken or missing ground can result in rather bizzare effects such as a left turn signal operating the brakes lights, etc.
Those that have replaced the "over-the-entry-door" outside light to LED; what make and model LED light did you purchase?
