Title: Inspection today
Post by: John S on February 03, 2012, 09:00:01 pm
Well, I took advantage of the nice weather and got the FT inspected. The last few years I have had to shovel to get out of the garage. I have not travelled as much this winter as in the past due to my recovery and physical therapy requirements from back surgery. I will say that I am itching to get on the road.  It was nice to drive it too. I was going to plan a trip but now I hear I am going to have two more grand babies  in Spokane by sunday. That means that a trip is not going to happen for a bit again... Anyway, the real thought I wanted to post was that the inspector came up to me afterwards and said he had inspected a lot of motorhomes but this was his first Foretravel. he wanted to know more about it and was going to be retiring in a year and was looking at getting one. He loved that I had 113K miles on it and that it was in such good shape.  He said he sees hundreds a year and they usually have less than 30K miles on them.... He was happy to see one with milage and that it held up so well.  He also loved the construction of the coach as well. We talked for about 30 mins and I will say that the four dump trucks behind me might have been a bit upset but they had free coffee and they were getting paid by the hour so they did not really care I was told.

We had a similar good report from the Department of Public Safety officer who conducted our driver exams. She didn't drive the coach, but she did ride in it. She reported that it was a much more comfortable ride in our 1997 coach than in the new one (SOB) she had encountered the previous week.

Interesting to hear what the people who work on them say or have no dog in the hunt so to speak.

Agree on the no dog in the hunt, when I had my coach at Cummins Richmnd, Va for the turbo etc, they could not get over how easy it was to work on, open the rear, and there she is, simple and available. The usual RV is one they can only work on from under neath or down under the bed.  No part of the service is easy / simple, so they love the Foretravel.
Ya gotta love quality
