Title: AMP-HOURS+
Post by: Benjie Zeller on February 06, 2012, 08:25:57 pm
My AMP-HOUR+ meter is always on.  I'm guessing its always on to show how much the batteries have drained or is there some shut off I'm missing?  Over the last 10 days, it shows about -40 amps drawn which at least some of that is attributed to the AMP-HOUR+!  Is there a certain point it shuts off to avoid draining the batteries completely?

On a side note, my carbon monoxide sniffer is on all the time as well.  Doesn't seem to be a switch for that, unlike the propane sniffer that is switched?  Main disconnect is OFF.

One of the biggest loads when everything is off is the propane cutoff valve. I added cutoff switches to it, the propane/CO detectors and the radio memory. I draw less than 100 milliamps in storage. 150 Watts of solar keeps both banks topped off, normally 13.2 to 13.46

Main door switch does not turn off detectors and refrigerator. Bay circuit breaker panel behind white fiberglass panel may be the place to put a switch to kill the these things or you can disconnect house battery ground.
