Title: CupHolder Solution
Post by: txforetravel on February 09, 2012, 02:40:11 pm
I think this will solve everyone's issue with the lack of a cup holder!

If you don't want to wear a hat, these are the after-market holders that were in our coach when we bought it.  I think you can still buy them at FOT or MOT.  They come in brown or black. We found that small neoprene coasters fit well in the bottom.  Before we found the coasters (gifts from our elementary school grandchild who made them), we simply folded up a napkin to absorb condensation.  When you aren't using them, they fold up out of the way.  Not fancy, but are quite functional.  :)

I had those pictures oriented correctly, but when they were posted, they reverted back.  Hopefully a moderator can fix this.  Sorry.  :(

Okay, that is what I thought you were talking about.  We used on a VW bus a very long time ago.  Should work great.  Know where to get them.

We tried one, but it broke pretty quickly.  It may have been our fault, though, rotating the chair without collapsing the cupholder.  Just saying.

Yup. That'll do it. Those plastic cup holders weren't designed to outlast a 60+ lb captain's chair. I have broken one (leaned on it accidentally), so I keep a couple spares as they are inexpensive. Easy to replace.

I want to travel with the Hay's, they carry a whole three ring binder labeled desserts!  Wow.

And thanks for the drink holder, next thing for us as well.

Hi all.
Here's what we have for cup holders. It lets us use the entire flat area for our laptop while going down the road, and any size cup is held easily, without worry. It is the same Corian colors as the rest of the coach. It's mounted on four walnut stands that match the rest. The entire piece will still open for service. Sorry, the pictures are not the best.

Dave and Dolly,

I couldn't figure out how you knew we had that 3 ring folder!  I didn't even know it was there; my wife brings stuff and keeps it on her side of the coach.  I just looked back at the picture and saw it at the bottom of the pic.  FUNNY!

She loves to bake, even in the coach.

What a bargain, a Foretravel, cup holders, and a dessert chef, as well.

Looked a couple of places today for folding cup holders, not found them yet.  But still looking.

Thanks for the link.  Now, I have found them in SS, and also in multi colors of plastic.  That also started us down the Mag light clips we need for the C flashlight at the door that lays on the floor.  On the Maglight thread I see the LED upgrade for my D cell flashlight in the truck.  Once on Amazon, we looked at a Jack antenna to replace the wing.  Plus we need to replace one of the fire extinguishers so might as well get two of those to mount.

Help, stop me, there is just no end to upgrades.  But order enough and the freight is free!

You mean you did not see the Teak wood one?  Really nice and I almost ordered it last year,
