Title: Contemplating buying some decals from Linda ... thoughts?
Post by: ChuSmith on February 17, 2012, 03:08:48 pm
When I purchased my coach, the passenger side Body decal was partially removed. I was told by MOT that a company had purchased all remaining decals and was next door to the factory.

I contacted them and Linda got back with me and wants to sell the decal to me for 182.42
No refunds and she called back and said No credit card just cash.

I read on the forum here that others had issues with older decals and wanted to get some thoughts.

Cheers, and thanks for your time

Chuck,

I bought a set almost two years ago and had Gary Hawthorne install all the lower decals. They look great and no indication of any problems to date.
Gary did decals at Foretravel for a long time and he knows how to clean and install them.
If you have some concern give him a call about those decals.

I had good luck with 1993 Decals the original owner purchased for future use. So far so good.

Thanks much for the feedback, I had seen some comments that the decal would not stick and that was my biggest concern. Also when the company will not take credit cards it makes me a bit nervous.
Having some reassurance that others have purchased from them without issues helps a bunch.

Thanks again

I wouldn't buy graphics that are 15 years old that have been stored in a trailer.  There is a reason Encore wants cash.  Before you make a decision contact Dale at RV Stripes & Graphics, Apache Junction, Az.  Phone 480-984-7939.

He made a full set for our 95 U-240.  Guaranteed for 10 years.  He can make anything you want.  Even a partial set.  He can give you guidance in how to measure what you need and what he would need to get the color correct.

James can paint them on and the coach would look fantastic, if you have 8K you don't need.

Great info, thanks, I will give them a call.

Don't think paint is in the cards, and the coach doesn't really look that bad with the one decal missing. I haven't been able to tell from the driver's seat at all... :)
