Our appointment is for March 5th. We hope to meet some fellow Foretravelers while there.
I am considering having the roof painted, who do I look to for that? I know there are two or three shops in that area although this will be our first visit.
Dick and Rockey
Most of the roof paint jobs I am aware of have been done by Xtreme Paint and Graphics. Xtreme is owned by the former Foretravel paint shop manager. However, I am sure Foretravel would also do a great job for you.
We should be at Camp Foretravel about the same time you are there and will look forward to meeting you.
Echoing Kent's post - most of the roof paint/coating jobs we know of (including ours) were done by Xtreme, but FOT does good work as well.
We will be arriving at Camp FT around March 10-11 for our March 12 appointment at FOT, so be sure to stick around :D .
Michelle
I would vote for xtreme paint and graphics. They are very helpful and you will not be disappointed with the outcome
Dick, the product I talked to James at Extreme Graphics about was a mixture of paint and I think they described it as ground up glass. My goal was to reduce the slippery surface but it turns out it will also stop or greatly slow down the UV working on the roof and that giving you the white runoff down the side of the coach when it rains or from AC condensate.
FOT and Extreme both gave me quotes, Extreme a couple of hundred cheaper. That was a couple of months ago and I am sure I will get it done before long. Mike
Dick:
I just had some roof repairs done at FOT because I had some problems with cracks in the fiberglass. I had a painted, non-skid roof, already. They did a super job and they do have a really first class paint and fiberglass shop. I would return there in a minute. Having said this, Jennifer and James Stallings also operate a very classy facility and have done outstanding work for me and lots of others in the past. Both facilities have parking spaces and the Stalling's had an apartment for customer use when coach in the oven or otherwise uninhabitable, at one time. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to recommend either.
Just arrived at Nac' today after a drive from mexico and Laredo today. Nice to meet all the menbers that are here and some new ones. Putting faces to pictures is good.
I also would like to take this opportunity to apoligize to any member that was hurt by my posting on that other "issue" that steve had to erase my comment.

We'll be there on Sunday, March 11th probably early to mid afternoon.
Sadly, Peggy & Kent Speers pulled out this morning. Kent's mom in Kansas City (91 years young) fell and broke her hip. Surgery is today and they are heading for Kansas City to be with her.
I am making a trip in tomorrow(Sunday) but it is just to drop the coach off and drive back home.
Arrived Kansas City this afternoon. Mom is doing well but we have decided to stay in KC for a month to help her through her rehab. Sorry we will miss those incoming to Camp Foretravel.
Gotta tell ya, John Haygarth and Ruth are a real hoot. I wish we could have spent more time with them and the others we will miss by leaving early. We were really looking forward to meeting the Two Hams and I had a lot of work for Steve to do. My shoulder really hurts now that we are back in cold country. I guess we will have to till late this spring. May go by Steve and Michelle's house before returning to NAC.
See Ya'all next time.
Kent glad to see you made it and the best to your Mom from us all here.
John Harris arrived this afternoon and earlier today there were only Carol and Jeff and us 2 here but things change fast--now 5 coaches, and I believe Greg Ames just sold the 11 Phenix to an Texas oil couple so that will be gone soon.

Bob and Deb Freesen, perhaps? I noticed new members with a 2011 Phenix joined yesterday (Welcome!) .
Kent - sorry to hear about your Mom :( And right before her birthday, isn't it?
Michelle
Nope ... Bob & Deb Freesen were here in their 2010 Phenix, but their IH won't be done until August. They were here to check on it. they DID join us for Pourtravel Happy Hour, however. The women were all laughing because they guys got talking, but all had to go back to their coaches and retrieve their hearing aids because they wanted to hear each other better. Too funny! The new folks that just bought the 2011 Phenix are very nice. I will try and get their names tomorrow. What a super coach that is! Unfortunately ... they are also driving the Jeep that Jeff has been bugging me about. I have asked them to leave the parking lot as soon as they can, to help preserve marital harmony in THIS coach.
Kent and Peggy -glad to hear your Mom is doing better. We're disappointed too, as we wanted to make your acquaintance - surely all the stuff we've heard about you from Jeff and Carol can't all be true! I guess we'll have to find out in September on the cruise!
We're moving to Mansfield today getting the last of the stuff out of the coach preparing for last trip to Nac (at least with us.) It will be a sad day to let her go. If it weren't for health problems, I think we'd be buried in her!
Made my turnaround trip and made it back home. Got to meet John and Ruth Haygarth and John Harris. Good to see Jeff and Carol again as well.
Thanks for the good wishes. Mom is out of the hospital already and in the Rehab Center. She's pretty amazing for 90 and yes Michelle she will be 91 on March 21. It turns out that one of her doctors is a specialist in shoulders so I plan to go see him. Maybe Steve will be off the hook for the water pump upgrade.
You'all have fun down there. We hit 25 degrees here last night so we sure wish we were in NAC with you.
Glad your mother's operation went well. Rehab will do wonders for her. My dad fell in Sept and broke his hip.Didn't think he would walk again. But after rehab he was walking.
Ellen
Best wishes for your mother. ^.^d
We were having a fine time in the parking lot ... good turnouts for the Pourtravel Happy Hours! I also got the "Nickel Tour" of Gerard's coach ... Oh my goodness! Love it.
Hey Carol glad you liked my "girl" as my wife calls it. She likes to refer to it as the other woman! Hope to be back up there soon to pick her up as they should be done today with evrything.
And when Jeff DOES get his Jeep... here's the spare tire cover he needs (saw this in the Costco parking lot this afternoon - perfect!). :))
Got the coach just about packed up, hoping to leave for Nac in about 1/2 hour. I'm thinking we'll land around 12:30-1 barring any weather/traffic.
Michelle
SOunds like Nac will be hopping tonight.....Have a nice dinner over at Auntie Pastas for me...
