Post by: Don & Tys on February 24, 2012, 01:03:30 am
This popped up on Oodle today... Looks like it might be good deal for someone.

This should make someone very happy!!! A little bigger than I'd want, though. I suspect 42' might be hard to fit into National Parks and Forest Service campgrounds. But with a roof-top full of solar panels maybe you wouldn't ever need an RV park! It should be fast, too.

I should have been born rich instead of so gosh-darned good-looking!  :P

Fast?  :))  I don't think so!  I would not consider our 42' fast.  Length has not been an issue with us.
Now turning radius..., all you have to think about is "FOOTBALL FIELD".  back in 98 - 2002, the tag was not a lifting tag but just a "release".  yes, the release does help with tight turns but even then you need a empty walmart parking lot to make a uturn!  And when the tag is released, it scuffs the tires.

But I do love the extra 2'.  We gained the 2' in the living area.  We have a ton of room between the chair and the desk (angled kitchen).  And I think we gained an extra pantry cabinet in the kitchen too.

Just my "forty-two" cents worth!

I would love this thing!  Could use the extra length with the family.  May have to do a little more research on whether I could swing it!  Guess I'd have to get rid of the current ride first. :-\

I just figured 450hp would make a "fast" coach; especially compared to my 230hp (290hp with the Banks Stinger) U225. That extra 6-feet the 42 has over my 36er must make a big difference in turning as we can easily maneuver through parking lots that aren't empty.  We have parked at our local supermarket and loaded up on supplies.. we try to stay on the edges but it's not nearly as difficult to do as I had thought. Sue drives a school bus so she is used to this stuff. LOL

Wonder who did the full body paint?

I wonder why the full body paint was done without converting (i.e., moving them up) the headlights?

Agree with old headlight setup, sad.
And agree the M11@ 450 hip is sweet, never too much HP,just great when you can make it happen when you need it. Good resonator is a must for. Most.
Cheers

I believe that is the first 42' coach that Foretravel built. Creative Coach might have done the paint. It certainly is well priced.

not much to go on but I know that Joe and Bernetta Hamilton owned one of the first 42 footers made and had a paint job kind of like that.  They are in Folordia. If it is their coach they were in our Mid Atlantic group for years and took great care of their coach.

John. That is not Hamiltons coach.  I saw them in Brooksville last month and Joe is still driving his Xtreme job and towing a lightweight aluminum trailer.  I doubt there are two Joe Hamiltons.

A nice DGFE (double galley front entry). One of the best layouts they ever designed on the 40 and 42 footers...
If condition is good and someone doesn't want slides, this is a well priced coach.
