As we get close to our March 5 appointment at the factory, I am wondering how long they will stand behind repairs to fiberglass cracking they did earlier? The previous owner had some of these repairs done under warranty. For example, cracks at the corners around the refrigerator vent, which appear to be back and repairs to the front cap. Just wondering what you all think?
I can't provide an answer, but your question raises a point with respect to our coach. The driver's side front corner was repaired at FOT. I know because one of FOT's advertising pictures includes our coach with the corner missing. The area is showing cracks in the gel coat where the repair was made. It's not of great concern but the cracks are visible.
I would not expect any break on price from FOT for fixing the cracks. We have owned the coach for two years. I expect the repair was done at least three years prior to our purchase, based on the health history of the previous owner.
I am a bit surprised to hear another report of cracks showing up again after a repair.
I am guessing that the vinyl graphics on our coach were replaced with paint at the time the corner was repaired. James Stallings looked at the painted graphics and guessed that they might have been done at FOT when he was working there. The painted graphics are holding up well.
