Sitting here at the Lake Havasu AZ. Bluegrass Festival enjoying this great weather and incredible music lineup expecting not to see any other Foretravels when low and behold we have other Foretravel Bluegrass fans here also. We counted 5 so far, including our own Larry Whitney & Mr. Bluegrass himself Bob & Cindy Thomas The Father's Day Festival - California Bluegrass Association - Gallery (http://fathersdayfestival.com/picture.aspx?ImageID=5668&currImg=199&FestYear=2007) who seems to know everyone here.
I don't remember how many Foretravels gathered it takes to constitute a rally but we are going to call this a Bluegrass Rally. Any other Bluegrass Fans out there that go to Bluegrass Festivals. Looks like another way we can get together and have a great time. 8) I will be adding this event to my annual outings.
From the beach at the Bluegrass site, look WSW across the corner of Lake Havasu to the Crazy Horse campground. The 02U270 parked next to and almost parallel to the water near the western end of the park is ours. Been here awhile, and about to transition out for a trip to Peru. We'll try walk-in access to bluegrass to just "visit" later today and see if we can check out the Foretravelers.
BTW, the London Bridge is closed today 2:30-3:00 pm for an event - locals and snowbirds are going for Guiness Book of Records for Line Dancing.
Barry,
If you are ever in the center of the country there is a big Bluegrass event in Waldron,AR held at Turkey track Bluegrass park. The big events are always held in June & October and run officially from Wed through Sat. There are always people there early and have "warm up sessions" all week. They have about 100 acres of camping some with electric and some dry so there is camping for everyone. The 2012 schedule for who will be preforming on the main stage and at what time should be out in the next couple of weeks. Here is a link to last years event to give anyone intrested something to look over and can start making plans if intrested turkeytrack Bluegrass Park Waldron, Arkansas Music Festival (http://turkeytrackbluegrass.com/)
Pamela & Mike
And while in the midwest, don't miss this one Jerusalem Ridge Festival (http://www.jerusalemridgefestival.org/)
Too bad it is so far away.
Sounds great, we are big bluegrass fans, and hope to be full time RV'rs soon. Foretravel is at the top of the list if we can find a good one. Maybe see you next year!
