Title: IH-45, still usable with the slides in
Post by: Michelle on March 13, 2012, 09:50:35 am
Steve and I got our first look at a finished IH-45 yesterday, this one, I think if I remember the paint correctly Foretravel Texas (http://www.foretraveloftexas.com/view-inventory.php?id=453) (we've seen a couple in production before).

We both were quite surprised to find that even with all 4 slides in, you could get from front to back of the coach, so you could still get to the basics (food, sleep, bathroom).  Someone put some careful thought and design into the floorplan ^.^d

Hmm.  IH-45.  I thought you were just in for new Headlights?  Are you new owners of an IH-45? :)

I heard from reliable sources they Steve & Michelle were looking a NEWELL.

We did, simply because we'd never been in one and had the opportunity.  They're definitely not our style.

And wasn't it you and Carol that looked at it first and told us about it? :))

Nope - just getting decorating/remodeling ideas.  The new coaches are great for that.

FOT Phenix-style headlights and tail lights will do us for this year.  Well, and we saw a really nice Grohe faucet in a MOT consignment FT so that goes on the list of things to do ourselves.

I have to admit that the IH-45 is one of the few "modern" coaches that appeals to me. But it sure isn't "camping" any more! That unit has a receiver-type hitch that is rated to within 4,500 pounds of our entire U225!! A whole new world....

We aren't into camping anyway.  We use the coach to travel.  But the IH45 is way out of my league anyway, and I much prefer the mileage my U225 gets.
