We will soon be the new owners of a 1990 GV (don't know model no. yet) and the original sofa bed is no longer there and we'd like to replace it. Apparently there is a heater box under it that needs to be accommodated for. Foldout table is missing the original leg. Also considering bringing in a Lazy-Boy wall hugger recliner. Any input from anyone welcomed.

Welcome Ekki,
You are in the right place for info on your new coach.
Cannot help with the furniture as I have U320. There are many Unihome owners here so you are sure to get an answer. Also use the search function as there are many posts pertaining to the Unihomes.
Also when you have the details of your coach add them to your profile and signature as this helps others to answer your questions. Click on my coach's pic and you will get the idea.

Ekki,
Yes, let us know what model it is-- that would make comments more accurate. Post photo if possible.
And, in that vintage, model IS important. Big difference between the "not as well respected" Detroit Diesel 8.2 liter 4 stroke and other options.
Welcome, Ekki! I would make time to take a "pilgrimage" to Nacogdoches and see what is stored in the attics at FOT, MOT and Encore. There are very often sofas that have been taken out of coaches when they are remodeled. You can also try Colaw RV Salvage in Missouri. The sofa that fits over your heater unit will have to be raised higher than a standard jackknife, but it is doable. David Flanagan at FOT is your guy. He probably worked on your coach when it came through production!
Thanks for the suggestions. We'll follow up. At present, we're about a month away from owning the Unihome and diving into the owners manuals to get some additional information allowing us to be more specific about what we're looking for. Great site ! Thanks all.
