Are there new styles of belt tensioners that replace the original OEM units for my hydraulic pump?
Based on a video I watched it seems that I may need a replacement.
I could use an updated part number or a good replacement part number so I can order.
A cheap source would be nice....
Regards,
I just replaced mine and got it from Amazon for $71 and free delivery. Heck of a deal

Jon,
Here is my answer with photos:
Replacing Hydraulic Pump Tensioner (http://www.beamalarm.com/Documents/replacing_hydraulic_pump_tensioner.html)
We used a new style Gates tensioner and it works much better than original. Our hydraulic tensioner does not even vibrate at all when running. We have the same Cummins C8.3 engine.
My advice, order both belt tensioners at the same time. I ordered the first for the price that John H. indicates on the web site. When I went to order the second, the price had gone up to $81. Also the new tensioners have a 1/2 inch drive opening to be able to install the belts, not 3/8 drive like the old ones.
So are they still considered bad if they quit bouncing when you get above idle? On my rig, the air cleaner sits in front of the hydraulic pump one. For someone with similar, did you have to remove the air cleaner? I looks like it can be changed without removal, but not enough room to be able to check alignment.
