Taking a break from the annual inspection/ service routine, all fuel and oil filters engine and gen, rear axle gets a change this year, as well as an air dryer rebuild. Once all that is done going to try to splice the control cable (rodent damage) for the leveling. Just a fun weekend under the old ForeTravel.
Bruce, Might be easier to call HWH and order a new cable .

You are right, the new cable is $35.00 got one on the way. But getting the new cable from the second bay back to the dash is the real trick, ultimately that's what will end up happening though.
Invest in good quality nylon fish tape. I got my 40 ft. tape at Lowes. Nylon only please. The metal ones are very poor around bends and can cut other wires along the way.

Hi Peter,
Foretravel techs told me the trick they use for placing wires, etc through the basement tunnel is to push through a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe first, then run the the new wires or a pull wire through that. I've done this several times...it sure beats pushing wires like spaghetti.
Then to come through the driver's floor, I ran any small wires beside the steering column.
Thanks for the repilies. I do have a nylon fish tape, I can see it's advantages over steel, so when the new cable comes thats what I will use. The pipe idea works good for wire but the HWH control cable has about a 3/4 inch connector on it. The good news is I was able to squash my 250 lb self into the propane tank bay after the drawer was removed and pull the cable out there and repair it with 3M UR 2 connectors, and tape a strain relief in it. Life is good for now we are level again.
