Title: Foretravel-authorized shops in the PNW?
Post by: wa_desert_rat on May 21, 2012, 10:08:22 am
Wish for various reasons the FT shop was closer for us than 2700 as that amount of diesel x 2 would make our repaires very expensive.

I thought I saw some information where Foretravel has some service agreements with RV shops in the Pacific Northwest but I can't find that any more. Seems that there were two in Spokane and one in Portland, Oregon.

Does anyone remember that?

I know we had a thread on Cummins shops and had ID'd a couple around Spokane...

The FT-authorized warranty shop I recall is Oregon Motor Coach

Oregon Motorcoach Center now a FT Authorized Warranty Center, offers MC discount (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=11590.0)

ETA I checked Foretravel's website and here's the list of Authorized Service Centers, which shows 2 in Oregon and 2 in Washington.  Note that the list may not be fully up-to-date since it lists Midwest Finest for Illinois and one of our members says that hasn't been the case for a couple of years.

RnR is the old FT or the service manager worked at FT as well. They are in the same area  as well, east of Spokane on I  90.

I know there are supposed to be a couple of FT shops around that area of Spokane but if we used them how would we get to meet most of the other guys we do at Nac.??
On our trip there this March, Ruth was not sure she wanted to go that far out of our way (for the repair) but after a few days with the people she met, her comment on leaving was "they are nice people and I was wrong, I enjoyed it". So you see there is a reason for going!!
Most little things I am lucky I can do ,but the big stuff is now out of my ability due to my back problems.

FT used to have a store in Liberty Lake, WA, next to Spokane to the east.  The service manager at R&R RV in Liberty Lake used to work at the FT store, and his familiarity with FT continues to draw current FT owners to R&R for service.

FT used to have regional agreements for FT warranty service.  In Spokane, Cummins NW (also a Coach Care site) on the west side of Spokane, was the site holding this designation.  The service manager during that time is still there, and his familiarity with FT continues to draw current FT owners to Cummins NW for service.

Although I have been using Cummins NW exclusively for routine service/maintenance, I have also been at R&R.  I have been pleased with the service in both places, and have found other FT owners in both places similarly pleased and loyal.  In my experience, if I have needed to be seen quickly, I have found Cummins NW to be more adaptive to my schedule.

Both are easily accessible from I-90.  Both have hook-up provisions for overnight stays in needed.

I have found CUmmins to be very accommodating across the country.
