Title: Some information for you with Honda toads. (Maybe applies to other brands too.)
Post by: Gayland Baasch on June 10, 2012, 09:01:45 pm
I have the CRV, but suspect this applies to most Honda's....If someday you can't get it out of park the probable problem is, either bad brake switch or fuse.  BUT, there is a small cover on the top of the steering column that opens and you stick your key in and it will release the park lock. Just be aware that you have no brake lights till you fix the problem.  It cost me $50 to have a Honda dealer replace the fuse (I know, they have a huge overhead!!!)  It's in the fuse box under the hood next to the battery, 15 amp (blue).

I too have found that fuse. I inadvertently caused a short while connecting my SMI braking system four pin cable  from the coach to the CRV. I am very careful making that  connection now.
