Title: Visit to Parliament Motor Coach
Post by: minibeast on June 14, 2012, 10:13:20 am
Well, after checking through various sources and looking for a reputable location to service my "new to me" 2001 Foretravel U 295 I decided to give Parliament Motor Coach a try. I read several reports on them from previous years, some good, some bad but not a word since 2009. After reading that they were under new ownership I figured a drive to the West Coast of Florida was in order since they are still listed as a Foretravel Authorized Service Centers. Facility is currently being upgraded to handle everything from interior remodels to external paint. I'm in to have the awning replaced and some maintenance issues dealt with that were not corrected before delivery here in Fort Lauderdale. Will post a review when done.

Probably your best choice!  Stay away from Classic Coach Works in Lakeland, FL though! BAD, BAD, BAD!

I've had several issues addressed at Parliament. Can't say I've had a bad experience there. About on par with most other repair facilities. At least, they seemed fairly knowledgeable about Foretravels.

Parliament was indeed purchased by an individual with various other interests and has big plans and very deep pockets.

His name is Cliff Koschnick, and his personal cell # is listed on their website. I called him and specifically asked him if they were still an authorized Foretravel service center, and he said yes. I haven't confirmed that with Foretravel.

So far they're working very quickly on the repairs requested, though I have yet to receive a repair estimate for anything other than the Awning which I immediately nixed. (Medical bills have intruded on that replacement.) I don't expect the rest to amount to much since there was very little other than routine service and a couple of minor issues (sensor adjustment, fuel sender).
Pick the coach up next Wed.

I tried to go to their website and it does not come up.  Interesting that they were purchased. I heard they had not produced a coach in a while too.

Facility looks nice. Lots of Prevost Coaches in for remodels and upgrades. They have a full Upholstery shop, Woodworking shop, and Paint Booth with quite a few bays. I'll be sure to get some pictures next time I'm there. Kind of difficult to get into. If you miss the turn in you have to loop all the way around on major roads before you can get back to the entrance.

Second visit to their facility. Very happy with the level of service and attention. This was supposed to be a one day visit but extended when my radiator decided to explode in their driveway. :-\
Added some pictures of the facility.
