He was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to lend a hand,
and a fine ambassador for Foretravel.
He will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him.

Jon,
Thanks for relaying the information of S G Karnes' passing. It's always sad to hear of the passing of someone as close to us as Gary. I'm only about a couple hours from Columbus, so if Sharon needs any help with the Foretravel (if she still has it, I know he was trying to sell it), please let me know.

Darn. Travel well, my friend.
Nancy and I were lucky enough to meet Gary and Sharon at the 2011 Lemon Getogether. Great folks and will be missed by all.
RIP, Tinbender.

Prayers for the family. RIP
Steve and I are saddened by the loss and will keep Gary's family in our prayers.
I found the announcement here: http://www.hoskinsonfuneral.com/lifestory/raysoflight/home.html?Year=2012&Month=7&Day=23&FirstName=Gary&LastName=Karnes (http://www.hoskinsonfuneral.com/lifestory/raysoflight/home.html?Year=2012&Month=7&Day=23&FirstName=Gary&LastName=Karnes)
Gary B. Karnes, 65, of Heath, died suddenly on July 23, 2012 at his home. He was born January 16, 1947 in Sayre, Pa., the son of the late Lionel and Lena (Murphy) Karnes.
A skilled sheet metal worker, Gary was a member of union local #24 and retired from Columbus Heating and Ventilation. Gary loved traveling, and was a member of the "Foretravel" RV group, American Motorcycle Association, and raced for the Kawasaki Racing team.
In his younger years, he loved to go fishing in Canada. He was widely known as 'everyones go-to guy".
He is survived by his loving family: wife Sharon, daughter Alyssa (Jamie) Kimble, "adopted daughter" Susan Little, sister Judith Karnes, granddaughter Josephine and many, many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Patrick.
Friends may call Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at the HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main St (US Rt 40) in Kirkersville. Graveside Services will follow on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Fairmount Cemetery, near Jacksontown.
An on-line guest register, where messages of condolence may be left for the family is available at http://www.hoskinsonfuneral.com (http://www.hoskinsonfuneral.com)
So sorry and shocked to hear about Gary, He stopped and visited with us at our home in FL one afternoon about two years ago. Then when I had a problem with a bent awning tube he went out of his way to help me locate parts in Ohio and offered to help me repair it at his shop in Ohio. What a great loss of a Good Person. Our prayers go out to his family. My he rest in Peace.....
RIP
As with Dave and Nancy, Peggy and I got to know Gary and Sharon at the last Lemon Rally at Quatzsite. Both were real givers and Gary in particular was a great guy and a whale of a worker. He was helping set up for the rally even though he an Sharon were going to leave for Daytona before the rally even officially started.
We will remember fondly the few days we got to know he and Sharon. What a loss.
