Title: US 64 from Cleveland, TN to Blue Ridge, GA
Post by: Dwayne on July 25, 2012, 04:39:58 pm
We will be going to Chattanooga in a few weeks and I'm wondering about US 64 from nearby Cleveland to Blue Ridge, GA.  Not as worried about the uphill climb but if our itinerary gets reversed and I have to drive from Blue Ridge to Chattanooga...how steep are the grades?  I don't have any aux. braking...just the air drums.  On coming home to FL from Blue Ridge, I don't think the stretch heading south out of Blue Ridge toward Atlanta is any concern.

I've ridden it on a motorcycle just before the Atlanta olympics. Many very tight turns, if I recall, but there were trucks traveling it, so I would think you could too.
