Had my RV in for new tires. What I was quote and ending up paying was around $500.00 more. That is a different story. While they had the rear wheels off I notice the passenger side rear rotor was destroyed. The pads on the drivers side look brand new. Does anyone know who might do this in the Houston area that they would recommend? I know I can take to Naco but was hoping I could find some place closer.
I would go to MOT if I were you unless you can find someplace that is familiar with Meritor Air Discs
Turbo,
Call Alan Lassetter at 281.541.4665 who does this work for me plus has rebuilt my Alison transmission too.
He knows more about big truck chassis stuff including disc brakes than all the folks in Nac combined.
He is located in Channelview and normally is very busy with 12 work bays.
Thanks Ruby, I will give him a call Monday. Everyone I talked to I started asking questions and knew they had no idea what I was talking about and thought I was talking about a smaller chassis motorhome.
I was thinking of doing myself but I remembered the thread about the parking brake and decided it would be cheaper to have someone else do it that knew what they were doing.
I am hoping I do not have to drive all the way to Nac since I know that one brake is totally gone.
Now that is good to know too.
New here, so hello..
LaRue's Garage... Beltway 8 @ Hwy 90. Give James a call. James left the City of Stafford where he was their fire truck tech (and everything else too) before buying LaRue's garage..
He maintains the Safety Kleen, USPS trucks and whatever else that goes bump in the night.
Down the road next to the BIO yard off of the feeder. pc
I would highly recommend Felton's RV Service - 1321 Riggs Rd. off I-45 713-695-0067 Old company (30 yrs.) very good work
