HWH system will stop adjusting air bags when the HWH level sensor indicates it is in level position. Since the sensor is designed to be almost level in any one direction, sometimes it may be worth manually tweaking the system for a more exacting level positon.

We use it every once in a while, like when shower door still swings or drawers slide further out or in on their own. Or when Joey-Bed takes extra effort to pull out or push back in.
We also tried to improve our HWH system by installing HWH's electronic level sensor to use in place of the original mercury level sensor.
The new electronic sensor has a diagnostic setting that increases the sensor's sensitivity to assist in initial setup. HWH indicates that this setting would be too sensitive for automatic leveling operation. But we have not found any problems leaving the new electronic level sensor in its increased sensitivity position.
What did It require to upgrade your system? My 97 is not very precise in its auto leveling.

Our HWH system - which is purely mechanical with jacks on the U225 and U240 - is pretty good at getting us level but I check it with a smart phone app, called, "bubble level". It's both a standard level and a center-the-bubble level. Remarkably accurate and sensitive and, since it's almost always with me, handy. :)
Of course, if we were really out of level after auto leveling I'd have to figure out how to do it manually. I'm not worried though, we have an eleven-year-old who travels with us a lot and she knows everything! :)

Thanks for the information on the new unit.
Previous owner of our coach installed two bubble levels near the driver position. One is side-to-side, the other is fore-to-aft. I have checked them against portable levels in various positions on counter tops, floors, refrigerator shelves, water running from roof along drip rails, etc. They are very accurate.
Automatic leveling with OEM HWH system is adequate. It generally sets a position that is satisfactory for comfort and proper operation of house systems. I have tweaked the mercury sensor a couple of times. I often let the automatic system set the level, and then tweak it manually. The air bags usually maintain attitude for days, and sometimes for weeks.
It appears to me that the accuracy specifications for the electronic unit are the same as those for the mercury unit in normal use. The electronic unit may be more accurate and precise in the calibration mode. HWH Information Page (http://www.hwhcorp.com/info3.html)
It is nice to know that others have the same issue with auto-leveling by HWH as I have experienced. Sometimes very close but most times not close enough for me. The other issue for me is that I prefer to be as close to the ground as I can be to reduce the height of the bottom step. So, I installed a two bubble RV level as described in the previous post. When parking, I will look at the level bubbles and move the coach left, or right, forward or back a little to get level. Then hold the "DUMP" button until coach settles. Coach is then low to the ground and on-board compressor is not required to stay level for weeks.
I will use the auto-level when just parking for an hour.
We have the HWH electronic level unit with adjusting enhancement I was also told the electronic is not supposed to be better than mercury level.
Since mercury is no longer allowed to be used, the electronic is the replacement.
