01 u320- Silverleaf just stopped working for no apparent reason. I have not checked to see if there is current at the switch. Several other things seemed to be not working either: no current at the light switches over sink and in basement on curb side. Any ideas?
I can't find where the fuse or breaker would be for the Silverleaf.
thanks,
David
David,
I am wondering if you still have the blinking red & green lites on the VMSpc box and/or did the
power to the computer die also ?
Just trying to get apicture.
Dave M
Check the little box and see if it is blinking. If not then check the connection to the plug. Also check and see if you have the right comm port selected. Every so often my old PC would lose the JIB.
Dave/John;
I am a little confused. What/where is the VMS box? My unit is mounted into dash. Has a series of buttons on the right side and 1 knob in the upper right corner. I don't see any red/green lights. Haven't tested voltage to unit yet. It is as though a fuse is blown. Nothing. Nada.
David
I thought you have the PC version. That has a box that turns the ECM info into stuff the computer can read. It also shows that the data is transmitting.
David, take a look here and see if you can identify your unit with one of these.

Dave M
yup... you are right
Dick
VMS 240CL.
Ok. That may help someone that has a similar unit offer some advice. I have the system that uses my laptop for the display of the gauges.
Or you can always call Silverleaf at (888)741-0259. They are very helpful. I just stopped by their office a few days ago. Mark gave me a great tour, updated the software for my VMSpc for free, and answered my questions.
Well, we solved the problem. Took dash cover off to access back of Silverleaf. Traced down harness to left of steering wheel down low. At this point it plugs into the wall. Can't understand how it became disconnected. It is possible to hit with your left foot though. Lucky we had a good ending.
Thanks for the help.
Yup that is why I look at the little black box. IF it is not blinking it came loose from the wall. happened only one time but it can happen again. I wish they sent that jib with a twist lock like the Cummins guys use.
