Went out to the coach to start it up Wednesday morning August 22. Found "someone" had shot a hole in the passenger side windshield with their "harmless" BB gun. 6" up and 3" in from the center rubber moulding strip on our GV. A great start for the trip. Reported it to police. Neighbor kid across the street and his buddy were playing around with bb guns but they didn't do it--Oh NO!! not those two little angels!! Even tho I have found their ammunition in our driveway and when they saw me watching them they took off running for the backyard. The BB came over the top of the pool noodle I had on the wiper blade and had to arc down from a distance in order to puncture the windshield almost behind the pool noodle.
Can''t prove they did it so guess who gets to eat the repair bill?? Even tho we have seen the kid (10 years old) throwing river rocks into our yard. I told his mother and asked her to make him stop. Won't do much good as the kid and his father play catch and the kid hits the hardball across the street from their house into our yard (30 feet east of the front of our coach!). Even tho there is a Little League diamond about 300 feet west of their house!
Ouch! Of course the parents wouldn't make their son tell the truth and admit that they did it. How many other children in the neighborhood have BB guns? Parents today don't care about teaching their kids honesty and integrity.
wrap the kid across the legs with a baseball bat. tell him you like playing hardball too??

Or just mail the invoice to the kids parents. Probably won't see any $$$ but just maybe they will see how much it will cost them next time!
Or just buy a bigger bb gun then he has and short shooting towards the Dads auto!
don't you guys down there have the right to own a rifle to protect yourselves and property. Buy a high powered rifle and shoot their windows out.

Or buy your own BB gun like the ones the kids have... then covertly put a few holes in *their* windows. I bet those guns get confiscated overnight!!!

Hire the local bully in your neighborhood to correct the problem. As one cannot touch a kid.
Before replacing call a Glass Fix Guy, have seen wonders done with cracks and holes.
Did this happen at you home? If it did I wonder if you home owners insurance will help out?
Yup, happened in our driveway!! Guess I will never again blow the snow out of their driveway while they are at work, cut up the downed trees a storm toppled in their driveway, and catch their dog when it gets loose. Gonna be a real meanie!! 'Course I don't have a Remington 270 rifle, a 12 Ga Ithaca Deerslayer shotgun, several pistols, a couple of compound bows, a pistol crossbow, a wrist rocket slingshot, a high powered pellet gun with scope, and last but not least a nice pointed ice pick!! Good thing I am so easy going. And I guess spending eight years on a shooting club team and deer hunting for 40+ years doesn't figure in anywhere.
