The canvas awning that covers the living room slide tore a little on our last trip so I need to replace it. Since I live in Jacksonville, FL I thought I'd order the new canvas from ZipDee and get a local RV tech to help me replace the canvas to avoid having to take it to a repair shop miles away. Is this something that can be done by 2 people? Will Zipdee know the size of my awning or do I need to provide some measurements?
Call Zip Dee. I have spoken with them before and they are easy to deal with. Here is their info.

When we had some work done on the awning in 2010 in Arizona, the small RV repair shop used three techs. One guy stood on the roof to "thread" the edge of the awing into the aluminum channel and the other two guys on the ground held the awning up. It did not take them very long. Hope this helps.
You are going to have to rivet in the pull strap and make sure it is well attached with at least three rivets. Also have them count the number of turns you have on the awning to be able to put that many on when you replace the fabric.
I called ZipDee about parts, with the serial number off the front arm. They knew the manufacture, build year, model, and color from their data base. Couple of questions and parts were on their way.
Great service.
