Title: What is in this area?
Post by: Christis Dream on September 16, 2012, 10:29:47 pm
Under my table, between the sofa & the cabinet where the ice maker is there is a step along the wall about 6" high & 6" wide.  I am assuming there is wiring running through there.  Specifically I want to know if there would be a problem if I screwed a couple of eye bolts into this.  I need a way to anchor my chairs - I am using two chairs that are on wheels which are fantastic when parked but while moving...

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

The floor is plywood below carpet etc. Why not  put something into that?? I would be carefull using that wireway/plumbing if that is what it is.

I'm with John. I think the floor is a much better risk than something that likely has wiring in it. You can often look into the basement below and check the overhead there for lights, switches, etc. I am going to install a hook to secure the recliner and going straight down.

For what its worth, all the late 80 and early 90 FT's I have seen with table and chairs on wheels came from the factory with a short female seat belt screwed to the back of the chairs and  male tangs screwed to the wall on both sides of the table.  Just clip the chairs to the wall and your ready to roll.

If not too long, eye bolts are ok. There is heater ducting in there.
