Title: Foretravel(s) sighting!
Post by: Michelle on September 17, 2012, 06:25:27 pm
Multiple FTs in one spot!

Working our way across upstate NY, we just stumbled into the same campground that a Motorcade is staying at, in the Herkimer area.  They're all at dinner, so I imagine we'll find out more later.

Joan and Bob Weinberg showed their faces and coach today in my front driveway. They are on their way to the factory and we talked flooring. They also showed me a couple of quotes they had received. I commented- those people charge that much? OMG!!
Nice looking coach, nice folks, I love the cat!

If we had only known that we could have crossed paths with a group of FT'ers we would have planned better.  We are currently about 80 miles away in Corinth for a balloon festival in Lake George this coming weekend.

Ron - better take some heavy duty rain gear as the forecast calls for rain all day today.  For your group's sake hope the weather guessers are wrong.

We had a rally there and mined.  It was easier to buy a few things in the store.  But go and mine a bit and wear glasses and long sleeves.  The rock shards hurt.

Today, we saw an all white, no decals, Unicoach coming up Hiway 20 from Newport Oregon to Corvallis, OR. We did not see any Motorcade numbers but the sighting was over very quickly. Was it anyone on the Forum.

We also met another Foretravel owner couple, Jerry and Madeline, at Silverleaf in Albany, OR. I trust they will soon be new contributors to Foreforums.

We are at the Prospector rV in Ely, NV, there is another FT down the row.  I left a card but I don't know who it is.

I saw a real nice Foretravel just east of Jasper, Texas, parked in a yard like it belonged to a visitor about 4 or 5 days ago.  I think it was probably a 40" U-320 but I was passing by too quick to verify.  Anybody we know here?

Do I win an award? Two sightings in one day about 5 hours apart and in different states... Big states, TN and TX.

Followed a late 90's U295 on hwy 71 between Lakeway tx and spice wood, tx. I think they had FLorida plates and were heading towards Pace Bend park!  Anyone on here?

Yes I fly way too much every week!

Txforetravel - It seems that it might be more enjoyable to do some of that Texas to Nashville travelling in the coach.  Of course, the length of a week would have to double or you could just work less!  :P

Ha ha!  Our coach already knows the route between Texas and Nashville!  I just put the cruise on and go take a nap!

You must have bought a lot in that store, we noticed your picture is on the campgrounds brochure :P

No, it was Paul and Marlene who were in everything. Though I did get an invite to lunch with the owner of the campground and Tommy Johns...

I saw the couple come back to the coach later but they did not stop to say hello.
Later went to their coach and knocked, JOHN came to door but was not at all friendly and I was unable to start a conversation.
This is the first FT owner I have ever met that was not friendly and willing to talk.  Maybe I look like an Axe murderer ?

Or perhaps he could read your mind and is afraid of die-NO-mite.

OK, Before I go out and buy some dynamite and blow the porch lite all to hell someone tell me how I can defeat the touch on feature and use just the on off switch inside the door ?
I am going nuts fiddling with this thing.  After getting coach washed in CA Porch lite stays on and have removed fuse to turn off.  I have removed lower bracket and find no water to act as ground.
Thanks for any help.
Gary B

Hope you get  that porch light fixed soon. :)

In Santa Nella, Ca. with our 88 GV along with another, 03, 295  folks from Orange, Ca.  Going to spend winter at place in Red Bluff, Ca. have no desire to winter in Az. it's going to take a crew of Merry Maids a month to remove Hubub dust from coach.
