Title: Installing a RV Cams backup system
Post by: waynebr549 on September 25, 2012, 07:14:16 pm
I'm entertaining the thought of buying one of RV Cams replacement backup systems.  How hard is it to run cable from the front to back in an '02 u320?  Mine is in the shop so I can't crawl in/under it.  Is there a conduit or cable tray?  Or is it a severe pain in the you know what?

thanks again, you guys are great

Wayne,

Tim knows our Foretravels pretty well and will send you the adapter to connect to the existing power and coax wires.  There is no need to pull any new wires.

As Rudy said, you can use existing wiring.  Even on older Foretravels.  I upgraded ours to color camera and monitor from Tim using existing wiring and a couple of adapters.

I bought a wireless camera from Camping World.  No wires except to tap into the 12V power on the old camera.  Works great and you can do it yourself.  I just Velcroed the new monitor over the old monitor.
