Preparing to install EMS in box at foot of bed. Space is limited so would be nice to move the grounds in attached picture from present location to location nearer the bottom of the box. Seems like should be no problem but I know nearly nothing about the electrical system. Worried about unintended consequences.
Thanks
Can't think of any reason location is important.
I wouldn't think that there would be any problem. From the pictures, it looks like you could take out the end screws and move the whole thing to wherever you wanted it. I'd make sure that you don't create a future problem by hiding them behind or under something else. It would also be helpful for some future project if you knew what each one of those ground wires was attached to.
I suggest that you track the large black wire back to its source and make sure whatever frame member it is connected to is un-corroded and tight. I might even install a large star washer between the frame metal and connector to insure a GREAT ground.
It seems a bit strange that that black wire is where it will be pinched, irregardless of whether the rubber seal is present. Just strange. Maybe reroute it thru the wood?
