After being in storage for 10 weeks, I can't get my Dometic NDR 1492 (2004 vintage) to start in gas mode. It does start in AC mode. It goes through the gas start up steps then stops with the check light - indicating that the gas has not fired up. Tried it 3 times, same result.
I have checked 4 fuses - 2 inline holders and 2 inside the control module. - all OK. It appears that I am either not getting gas or enough gas and/or the gas igniter is not working. Yes, there is propane in the tank and the range burners come on with no problem.
Can anyone tell me the simple steps to check - for example - with a voltmeter before I need to get to a tech?
As always, thanks much.
FIXED
Thanks to everyone for their help. The troubleshooting guides on RVmobile.com are outstanding. It would be wonderful if every system on the rig had the same.
It turns out it was the wire to the electrode. Voltage tested good to the igniter and when I jiggled the wire just at the ceramic of the electode, I got spark. It's working now but I will replace the electrode and wire to make sure there is a good connection.
Larry, Here is a good troubleshooting page for that.

Are you getting a sparking at the burner? You should be able to hear the sparking and if you remove the metal cover should see the sparking. You can try blowing out the burner as sometimes spiders build webs inside the burner. The troubleshooting Barry indicated should also help you.
keep trying - but first make sure gas gets to stove and will keep stove lit
Sometimes after being in storage, it may take several attempts to get either the refrig or the water heater to light. Loosening a gas line fitting at the appliance and letting some gas flow for a minute or so can clear the air out of the line. Just be sure to retighten the fitting and check for leaks with soapy water. Then check to see if it will light.
