We have a serious interest in the 2004 U320 4220 listed at MOT.
Just wonderering if any of the forum members know anything about this coach.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rodger
Is it the one with some purple on it. IF so I am sitting across from it and it has a sold sign on it. It is a good coach and i almost bought it when I was looking and I chose the 01 instead as it was half the price.
That 01 is nice - a single slide DGFE with new factory FBP and updated headlights. Looks to be a newer reefer too. I would do tile or a laminate though and offer about 105K.
John, It is stock number C1528A1. I think that is the one you are looking at.
Are you at MOT for service?
Rodger
#C1528A is listed as "PENDING" on the web site.
YEs I am at MOT and that coach is sitting right across from me with a sold sign int he delivery area.
We are the potential buyers and are going to take a close look at it tomorrow. It looks to be a great coach and we are getting pretty excited about it.
Thanks for the information.
Rodger
Cool! Will it fit in your garage? My recollection is that you might have another 6' of length available.
Quick! See if you can get Carol into the "Ladies' Driving School."
Roger, if it is the coach. I almost bought that very coach when it was for sale 4 or so years ago. It was a well taken care of coach at the time and looks to be the same now. Had the some upgrades done as well. It is a great buy and you will love it. I know mike is driving it down tomorrow.
Hi John, I am pretty sure it is the same coach. It does look to be well maintained. It has had 3 owners so far. We would be number 4.
MOT offered to drive it down to my house after I expressed concern that I may not be able to get it in my garage. The garage is big enough but I only have a 28' driveway plus a 20 ' street to turn in from. Not sure if I that gives me enough room to turn in with a 42' coach. I have to take an extra cut on my current 36' coach. Anyway I will know tomorrow...
Hi JD, I would love for Carol to take the women's driver's course. Even if she never drives, it is good training and would give her first hand knowledge of what is involved. Hope you all are doing well.

I got my Coach into my Uncles place in Katy in a subdivision with a narrow street. I have a 42 foot as well. I am sure it will fit
That is very encouraging news...Thanks
It turns like a 40 and if you back it in you can get into tighter places
Remember that if you raise the tag it will turn like a much shorter coach.
Saw the coach back at MOT. Did it fit?
I "happened to be in the neighborhood" while exercising the Goldwing yesterday. I found Rodger, Carol, Mike Rogers, Mel Cordray, and the 2004 U320 4220 _inside_ Rodger and Carol's garage. I don't know for sure what that means. I'm just reporting what I saw.
As JD reported...
Mel Cordray and Mike Rodgers drove the coach to Fulshear yesterday to make sure it would fit in my garage and equally important, to see if I could drive it in and out myself.
Mike was driving and promply placed it perfectly in my garage, so I knew it could be done.
So, after I had looked the coach over and visited with JD, who happened by, and a neighbor who came by to check out the action, I was ready to take the driving test.
With expert assistance from Mel and Mike, I was able to back the coach out of my garage and into the street without hitting anything. After a brief drive it was time to see if I could get in back my garage; again, without hitting anything important. Although I forgot to lift the tag axle, I was able to drive it in the garage with Mel acting as lookout and spotter. It took a couple cuts, but I got it in. It would be easier with the tag lifted. All in all a great experience. Many thanks to MOT; Mike, Mel, and Jason (who made the suggestion that we do a trial fit before proceeding on with the sale).
Looks like we bought a coach...Rodger
Welcome to the 2004 club, it looks like you have a beautiful coach :D. I've owned mine for one year this month, there doesn't seem to be a lot of us. It hasn't been with out challenges, but I am very happy with my coach.
You have a great coach. Welcome to the 42 foot club...
Ditto! There are not many of us in that 42ft club! Maybe we need a special meeting at the GV, just for 42footers? Lol
Thanks all for the words of welcome. I am happy to be in the 2004 club and also the 42 footer club. I just hope I can avoid being in the excessive repair club.... :) Rodger
Roger:
I was contacted recently for information about Foretravel motorhomes by a dude (in Victoria, Canada) who would like to purchase a 36 foot foretravel without slides (or put in another way - low cost!).
He was planning on flying to Texas to see a 270 at MOT but changed his mind after seeing my coach. I am actually not sure why he changed his mind.
If you are going to sell, and have time, send info and pictures of your coach with contact information in a PM, or phone me at 250-477-5680 today (I start driving to CA tomorrow).
Greetings Rodger and Carol
A big welcome to the 2004-42 foot Club. I also own a 2004 42 foot. You well love the way it drives. If you always remember to raise the tag you wont have any trouble parking it. Hope to see out on the road.
Safe travels. Cheers Karl
This might also qualify you for the "Nacodgoches Economic Stimulus Club" trophy for 2012 as well ;)
Michelle
Karl,
Thanks for the welcome. I hope to drive well and remain a member in good standing.
Remembering to raise the tag may be a challenge at first.
Michelle,
I am afraid you may be right. However, I hope to be able to avoid that honor next year.... :-(

Carol and I drove to Nacogdoches last Wednesday to sign the papers and take possession of the new to us U320. We spent the next day and a half learning as much as we could about the coach before driving it back home. The folks at MOT could not have been nicer. It is a complicated coach and a pretty stiff learning curve. Mel, Mike, and others were right there to help us and also to fix any minor things that we found along the way. All in all a great experience. We plan to use MOT for our service needs in the future. We feel comfortable in their desire and ability to do whatever work needs to be done.
Driving home was an experience as this coach is much larger than our old 36 footer. But we got it done and are now looking forward to much traveling in the future.
Regards,
Rodger
You will love it. It is a great coach.
Rodger,
It's time to change your signature line!!
oops... Thanks for the heads up. Not used to it yet I guess... Rodger
Welcome to the 42ft club!
