Title: Door lock switch
Post by: Dean & Dee on December 08, 2012, 09:57:00 am
Today I noticed that when I activate the electric door lock switch by the entry door the deadbolt on the door does not throw anymore. I can hear the bay doors locking so I don't believe it's a fuse.
                        Any thoughts?

Most likely the wire running from the coach to the door has broken from bending back and forth. That happened to mine. Look at the wiring at the door hinge area.

Mark is correct as this is exactly what happened with us in our '03 last year....  and here's George's post on the fix:  New ultraflexible wire to entry door lock actuator (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=14353.msg83202#msg83202)

Thank's Mark and Patricia. I like George's flexable wire fix. Once it stops raining here I will see if I can find a break in the wire and go from there.
