The timer on my 13 year old washer/dryer has died. Is it time to replace the W/D, or should I replace the timer. Where can I source it?
Replaced ours with current model Splendide. New one a huge improvement, higher capacity, quiet, less issues.
This is where I purchased a replacement handle.

They get mentioned from time to time on other various forums, FWIW.
As already reported, the newer models are a huge improvement. We recently replaced our older one with a newer one; and suggest you do the same.
We liked the splendid so much, that when we built a house, we moved the machine from our MH to the house. Splendides use less water, don't need 220, and don't require that the load be moved from one machine to another (washer to dryer) during the clothes cleaning chore. After three pump replacements (I worked in a mine for awhile) on the old one, and deciding to change to a newer on, we too noticed how much quieter and better the newer one works. However, there is a tricky filter cleaning procedure to the new one.... (This has been explained, plus a simplier remedy, on this board already.)
+1 for the 2100XC model
and it seems to use less water.
Ft installed a new 2100XC for us on Dec 18. We were surprised at Ft Parts pricing. Anne loves it.
