Hello and Merry Christmas fellow members!
As some of you know I am the proud owner of an '83 FTX diesel
I have a question that stems from pure curiosity.. My question is that I would like to know how many of you either own, have owned, or know someone that owns an FTX or earlier model coach Thanks for your reply!!
James,
I don't know if this will count but we see a couple with a FTX at both Lake Wright Patman & Lake 'o the Pines. They live somewhere around Atlanta, TX.
Pamela & Mike
I do not know what ftx means,I also do not know if this counts but I had a 1984 ored 38ft.Harry
James, I had an 82 ORED that looks like yours, don't know that it was designated as an FTX.

Thank you! yes your '82 & '84 ored's were an FTX; they were built from 1977 to 1986. FTX stood for Foretravel "10" celebrating 10yrs in business.
We had an 84 ored 35 ft with a 3208 cat. Was a good coach
Here is a photo of the 82 ORED that I had. It was totaled in a collision and sold to a salvage company. I later found that it had been rebuilt ( second photo ) by a guy that used it to haul his bikes, It had an unusual paint job. I later heard that it had been sold to a guy in FL but had developed severe roof leaks and was not being used. I assume that the roof leaks were the result of the collision I had that twisted the body and caused to roof to lift on the left center. I don't doubt that it will be resurrected again.

I'm not sure who owns this one, but it sits in the same storage lot that mine is in. Is this an FTX?

It's very close to mine. This was the only Foretravel I had seen before I went to Nac to have a look at the one I bought.

It looks like it hasn't been moved in many years, and the tags have been out of date since 2000 I think.
That was a nice looking coach Gary; its a shame that it fell into disrepair after being given a second chance. David yes that is an FTX looks to be '80 or '81. Too bad so many of these fine coaches are left to rot away. I've seen two a '78 35' and an '84 33' that both had under 40k miles just rotted down to nothing.. These are fine rigs for anyone wanting a well built coach and not a huge investment. Thanks for all your replies!
