Title: Slide, only the forward side moves.
Post by: Bob Raab on December 20, 2012, 10:16:38 pm
I just left Foretravel after service and maintneance.  Very pleased with the facility.
I am three days out.  Tried to extend aft curb side slide.  The forward end extends and aft end moved only about a 1".  I stopped it, retracted, cycled the HWH, tried again, same thing.
This also happened about three weeks ago, only I wasn't watching it.  Suddenly there was a big bang.
The aft had been stuck apparently until the fwd was almost fully out, then the aft followed with the big bang.  Seemingly no harm done.  It worked normally until yesterday.  I'm not going to try for the big bang.
Any similiar experiences?  Any ideas?  I called Mark he said to have it looked at.  I called HWH, they will call back tomorrow.  I'm in Deming, NM, heading for Long Beach, CA via Tucson, Yuma, Banning CA  and I-10.
Know of any qualified repair shops along the way?  I can also go to Phoenix.
Thanks
Bob

This manual might help understand what is going on and how to sync the cylinders

Here is a Foretravel authorized repair facility that I use. They are in Temecula CA. 81 miles from Long Beach.

'This manual might help understand what is going on and how to sync the cylinders'

Barry, with all due respect and appreciation of the detailed manual. I could no more understand the engineering in that manual than I could fly. I guess my 27 years of schooling were directed in the wrong areas.
