Here is a great site for current road conditions for all the Interstate Highways as well as many metropolitan areas. Shows congestion, speed, etc. Good for planning or while on the road. Once you select the state, you can command/drag in all directions and zoom to many levels. See at: Interstate Highway Traffic Reports (http://roadnow.com/traffic_interstates.php)
Another good site for planning or traveling is GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada (http://www.gasbuddy.com) . It has very up to date prices with even the time of the last report on that location. Here is an example for Quartzsite, AZ: http://www.arizonagasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx (http://www.arizonagasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx) Also included is a trip cost calculator, highest and lowest prices, graphs as well as links to off ramps, restaurants, etc. I have found this to be much more accurate than the Mapquest fuel price site.

Pierce, thanks for the site. I had not seen that one before. Just e-mailed it to my in-laws because they are heading out from Maine to South Texas tomorrow.
The roads are not good here right now, white out conditions and high winds. Sitting here waiting for the power to go out.

Pierce,
Thanks for the timely post. We are currently traveling I-70 and plan to travel I-25 tomorrow. The web site appears to have a lot of good information in one spot.
