Post by: Greg and Viv on January 01, 2013, 07:12:36 pm
Does anyone know where I can get some of the Suspa gas pistons or something similar. Suspa want $95.00 each for them, online.

+1 on getting them from FT parts.  We had bought a couple "grey market" ones from another source that were a tiny bit cheaper.  Those were MUCH stronger force than marked and one caused the attachment to pull free from the cabinet.

That's where our "too strong" ones came from, unfortunately.

Cost is 12.45 today. Ordered a dozen. DW won't have to balance the door on her head anymore. Probably should have taken and posted a photo of that.

Try Moore Industrial Hardware in Cincinnati, OH Stainless Steel Piano Hinges, Grab Handles & Draw Latches, Yoke Ends – Moore (http://www.mooreindhardware.com/) They call them gas springs and have about every size in the Springlift brand.  The factory may be cheaper, unless prices have gone up.

That 12.45 was FOT plus the 10% Motorcade discount and shipping. I didn't ask the total.
