Replaced the hydraulic 2 speed fan controller due to radiator overheating. Ran a new cable to the rear for new camera. Ran several new spare #10 wires to the rear & a spare 3/8" air line to rear manifold in case it turns out that I have a air leak in that line due to a rodent bite. Replaced Desiccant bowl , a check valve to aux compressor and the thermostat in electronics bay to replace button type. Changed oil & filter, 2 fuel filters, aquahot fuel filter, generator fuel filter. Found a terrific Truck repair shop to work with. Allowed my wife to stay in the coach and I was allowed to work with the tech all day pulling wires and getting all the things I needed done. The tech has been there for 32 years. I was floored when I asked him to do a chassis lube and he actually knew not to do the brakes. He said that requires clay based grease which we carry. I have yet to meet a mechanic that even knows what clay based grease is. It is great to finally find a repair facility that I can work with. Colton Truck 863 E. Valley Colton CA. :: COLTON TRUCK TERMINAL GARAGE :: (http://coltontruckterminalgarage.com/) I had to do a review on RVServiceReview.com
Really got that all done in one day?? Hat's off to you!!
Great find! I'm going to put that place in my address book... By the way, what is the thermostat for?
Don
I don't get impressed easily but this place exceeded my expectations in every way.
This should be a Foretravel authorized repair facility.
Maybe someone at the factory will give them a call :D
Most of the techs have been there over 15 - 20 years and get along well.
Talk about continuity.
The thermostat replaced the ceiling 110vac button type thermostat that turns on fans in the electronics bay.
The fact that he let me work along side him all day and doing things in the order that I wanted them we got it all done. I just had to knock this ToDo list down a bit. My wife said I have not worked that hard since I ran the business. He told my wife with a grin that I worked his tail off.
I did not realize as I was working on something else he went under the coach and put plastic loom on the wires we ran and tied everything up with no loose ends. It was great to work with someone who really understands do it right the 1st time. 8) I am one happy camper.
Barry, Colton Truck Terminal Garage is also known for their great alinement workmanship.
Barry, what did you put in place of the 110 Vdc button thermostat?
